What orchestration covers
- Orchestration is the institutional practice of running multiple cognitive patterns across an organisation over time. Two disciplines sit within it, and both apply across all four cognitive patterns rather than being a fifth and sixth pattern of their own.
- Governance holds the accountability and oversight structure that makes pattern deployment safe and defensible. Adoption holds the framework's stance on humans, work and the framing choices that determine whether AI adoption compounds or collapses.
- The composition discipline, which determines how patterns are arranged across workflows, is treated as anatomy (composition) because it describes the structural shape of how workflows nest. Orchestration describes the institutional practice that maintains those arrangements over time.
